Middle income earners are being required to make tough decisions.

In addition to paying a monthly premium for insurance coverage, millions of individuals must also meet expensive deductibles and co-pays before their plan will start kicking in.  • Healthcare-specific line of credit. You may be able to get a payment length up to 18 months with no interest or a term up to 60 months with interest.

 • Go to dentist and get your teeth cleaned. Oral health is a window to your overall health.

Breaking the cycle of addictive behavior is hard for everyone involved. When the supportive people in an addict’s life ask that the addict to consider approaching recovery, and give the reasons they would love to have their friend, parent, partner or coworker back, they are performing an intervention, which often leads an addict to consider treatment.  Intervention can be the first step that creates a small hole in addiction’s defenses, since the addict can easily see that there are people who care about them as a person, and wish them to be well.

There are so many damaging aspects of addiction. Many addicts suffer from self-deception that leads them to dangerous behavior. This can bring about sudden financial issues, problems in relationships, and even impacts the addict’s health.

The first step, and the worst step, is the addict’s admission that there is no controlling the addiction. The addiction has control of the addict.

No person, adult or child, wants to admit that their will is so weak that a substance – a non-living thing – has taken control of their behavior, their thinking, and their dreams; however, by bringing every resource an addict has at their disposal, the vast majority of people who suffer from addiction are not able to self-manage the recovery process and find sobriety again.  There are certainly a few who can do it, perhaps using community based programs like twelve step programs, but most people require assistance on a few different levels in order to achieve recovery.  There is no shame in this.  Disentangling the mental and emotional processes from the physical addiction can take a long time, and the strongest, most bold and determined can make the most use of a substance abuse treatment program that will improve their lives and relationships beyond where they were before addiction became involved.

For a person who has been abusing a substance for a long period of time, the separation from that drug is all at once a physical change, a mental adjustment and an emotional loss.  There are wonderful things waiting for the addict who completes a recovery treatment program.  Better health is just one small aspect of the centered, self-aware and accepting life that is on the other end of recovery.  But getting to the treatment center and working through these fears is something that most people have to cope with.

Research shows that ecstasy is neurotoxic, and is dangerous to health and sometimes, lethal.

There are many different names for MDMA, such as Ecstasy (XTC), Adam, “hug drug”  to “Molly”. Ecstasy usually comes in a pill form, the common active oral dose of MDMA is 75mg. Normally, most pills contains under 100mg of MDMA, making the rest an inactive pill filler which can include food color dye, starch or talcum powder. At times, ecstasy can be “cut” with other illegal and potentially toxic or deadly chemicals. It can contain other substances to MDMA, such as ephedrine, dextromethorphan (better known as cough syrup that has PCP), ketamine, caffeine or even cocaine.

Ecstasy is an illegal drug that acts both as a stimulant and also psychedelic, while producing an energizing effect, while creating distortions in time, perception, enhanced enjoyment and euphoria. Ecstasy exercises its primary effects in the brain on neurons that uses chemical serotonin to communicate with other neurons. Serotonin system plays a very important role when regulating mood, aggression, sleep, sexual activity and level of sensitivity to pain. Research shows that ecstasy is neurotoxic, and is dangerous to health and sometimes, lethal.

Dangerous Effects of Ecstasy Use

For some, ecstasy can easily be addictive. A recent survey of young adult and adolescent Ecstasy users discovered that 43% of those who reported ecstasy use despite knowledge of physical or psychological harm, and withdrawal effects, and 34% of those tested met the criteria for drug abuse. Withdrawal symptoms can include fatigue, depression, mood swings and loss of appetite.

Ecstasy increases heart rate, clenched teeth, blurred vision, dry mouth, occasional chills, sweating and sometimes nausea. It can also make users feel very anxious, confused and even paranoid. It also causes direct damage to the brain cells that involves thinking and memory.  Another dangerous hazard for an ecstasy user is that his or her body can simply overheat (hyperthermia) while dancing or any other physical activities, eventually leading to muscle breakdown, damage to the kidney, liver and heart, or even death. It can also cause seizures, swelling of the brain and/or permanent brain damage.
